DECLARATION UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY

PURSUANT TO 28 USCA 1746

I, Conor W. declare and state as follows:

Period of Internment (MM/YY to MM/YY)

    April 12, 2011 to January 12, 2013

Declarative Statement

I’m not gonna sit here and spend my whole day writing about that Godforsaken hell hole so I’m gonna keep it short and sweet. I went in to diamond ranch academy as a 15 year old who yes smoked a little weed, experimented with some pills and missed some school. The way me and the other kids were treated there was in no way conducive to any sort of recovery physically or mentally. I witnessed countless restraints for so much as disagreeing with a staff member. I saw students dragged back through the gates with bloody faces from being tackled on the dirt road while desperately trying to escape that living hell. The only reason I “graduated” that place is because I learned how to lie like a Mormon (they’re very good at it.) I missed a huge developmental part of normal teen life after I left that place I never felt the same, institutionalized if you will. That same weed smoking 15 year old who cut class every now and then now shoots 2 grams of tar a day into his arm and is uncertain if he has a future at all. Thank you Diamond Ranch Academy  for completely misleading my parents (who now wholeheartedly regret the decision to send me there) and for developmentally setting me back who knows how long. Love all you guys, don’t let that place determine the rest of your life.

I give DRASurvivors permission to use this statement.  I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.  Executed on: 12/21/15
